Daddy's Baby

Daddy’s Baby
© L. Ponce

You don’t care what it’s like
To be everybody’s daddy.
You say stay away you old man
‘Til it’s time to pop the baddies.
If you feel the need to leave home, then do it.
There’s gas in the car.
So go on ahead and use it.

Gun it baby for that border up north
Stay your course, and don’t look back
‘cause we the people thing you’re way too near
And Daddy’s Baby, is stayin’ here.

You don’t care what’s it’s like
To wanna kiss the ground you’re born on.
I’m not talkin’ war and guns, to get my rocks off.
I’ve got a passport twice full, so I’ve seen it.
There aint no place else like home.
And I mean it.

Gun it baby for that border up north
Stay your course, and don’t look back
because we the people think you’re way too near
And Daddy’s Baby, is stayin’ here.

You see, as a patriot I’m misunderstood.
Like it’s some kinds crazy gun totin’ sisterhood.
There’s gas in the car.
So go on ahead and use it.

Gun it baby for that border up north
Stay your course, and don’t look back
For we the people think you’re way too near
And Daddy’s Baby, is stayin’ here.
